"I" Openers
by Tony Hicks
This month’s I-Opener is an “inquiry”. Is it better to be interesting or interested? Is there a healthy balance point? Having been on both sides I can understand each of them. When I was younger I thought that being a character was cool. As I matured a little bit I realized that having character was more valuable. In my youth I acted out to be more interesting to others, or so I thought. Now, I find it more enjoyable to be interested in others without having to apologize. Have you found the same wisdom on your journey?

As I’m finalizing the details on the release of my new book the question of how my material is taken by others is front and center in my mind. I’d really like to know if my presentation is interesting enough to keep someone’s attention on a subject that should be of interest. I’ve recorded the first chapter as an MP3 file and you can listen to it at www.flourishinglife.com .

I am very interested in your feedback. You can reach me at

Thank You!

Be well & Flourish!
